Mikey read until gone 2 this morning, so he didn't really want to wake up. Which was fine by me, and I had a nice long lie in. We went into town to buy some souveneirs and we sent them home. We tried to exchange our Australia guide book in the book shop but the lady took one look at its non-Lonely Planetness and said abruptly that they don't sell that sort of bok there. That told us! Then we went back for lunch, and I sat in the sun for a while and got too hot while Mikey had an afternoon snooze, and then I read in the shade and swam in the pool a bit. It was almost time for supper, so we cooked in a stiflingly hot kitchen with about ten other people all vying for the same hotplates. We packed our bags for the morning - we have to move out of our room by 6am because we're being picked up for a tour of Katherine Gorge and we have to trust that the hostel people will put our bags into our new room because they close the storage room at 9pm and we'll probably get back after that. Then we just sat by the baby crocodile in his tank (who'll be turned into a handbag as soon as he gets too big) and wrote diaries and read for a bit.
