Saturday 24th July - Melbourne

We got up late this morning and had to buy some milk for breakfast. Then we went for a long walk into town, past some pretty victorian-style terraces with little metal balconies and plenty of big, glass office blocks. We were only going into town to see what was there, so we're leaving the sight-seeing until the morning. For now, seeing as we're right in the middle of the Melbourne International Film Festival we used the excuse to check out a few cinema (there are hundreds!) and watch a film Mikey's been waiting for. Farenheit 9/11 is typical Michael Moore fare (I'm not really a fan), very opinionated and one-sided, but a strong political statement. Not Bowling for Columbine, but interesting (if you can suspend your thinking for long enough) nonetheless. We checked our email, walked a bit more, then got the tram back to the hostel. We watched most of the first series of Spaced, and another lazy evening ensued.
