A nice valley in the glacier that we didn't manage to get all the way along before we had to turn back. Our guide was worried about falling ice.

I hope you're not bored of glacier photos yet. Here we both are...

Our guide found this pressure hole that Claire is in. It goes a bit further back and you can climb out back there. Claire went through twice!

Ok, this is the last one. Both of us in a hole somewhere.

This is Lake Matheson. If the sky had been blue it would have been a much better photo. I'm fairly sure that the mountain in the background is Mount Cook, the highest peak in New Zealand. It would be the highest peak in the world but it erodes at almost the same rate as it grows.

On our way to Arrowtown, the moon popped up.

The Arrow river. We found out after our visit that the filming location for the Ford of Bruinen was actually about 150m upstream from here. Still, we were mostly there.
